About:Renegade is a brand new travel magazine.
It will do as travel magazines should, and show the world as it is, not, as most travel magazines do, through the eyes of the tourism industry in order to promote destinations or products.

It will present the dark and the light together. There will be grey skies and dirty rivers as well as pristine beaches and golden sunsets. There will be property and poverty, jungles and motorways, city skylines and barren tundra.

Renegade will seek to publish work by unknown authors and photographers, as well as revisiting some seminal but now largely neglected travel works.

Logotype &#38; BLAD design: Joseph Egan

In collaboration with Freddie Reynolds at and-publishing, launching late 2013.

About:29/2 is a book based on the concept of the leap year and is an examination of the 29th of February as an abstract period of time.

A day lost in time, rightly so to allow for the rotation of the earth and the length of a real year to catch up and resulting in an extra day in the calendar every four years.

As 2012 is a leap year I decided that it would be appropriate to base my collection on events, births and deaths that have happened every 29th of Feb. since they began in 45 B.C.

Using pictures and a special reference method I have created my own index system for representing each leap year's events, ones that aren't celebrated and often forgotten but to some people were huge milestone's in their lives.

Printed and hand-bound by myself using traditional book binding techniques.

About:As part of a project to learn how to use Adobe Illustrator each student was asked to produce a 'How To' guide relating to an area of daily life with the consideration that we are currently living in austere times.

My given area was 'Communication' but instead of cutting back and trying to save money I decided that I would try and promote a way of mass communicating for as cheaply as possible. The sub-culture of pirate radio really suited this concept perfectly and above is my final result. An exploded isometric illustration of a radio with guidelines on how to set up a pirate radio station. </description>

About: A collaborative project with SAS London exploring Biomass as an energy source.

Centered around the fact that most people don't know what biomass actually is, my outcome's aim was to educate as well as provoke a discussion.

The site focuses on our cultures use of corn whilst at the same time highlighting its uses in the developing world. Whilst we use land to grow crops to make fuel for cars, plastics and grain for cattle to feed on farmers in developing countries are using all of the crop for food and then using the agricultural waste to fertilise soil, filter water and as cooking fuel.

#fuelvsfood is the twitter page which you can post straight to from the website by clicking on any of the objects in the photographs.
